• Kanjani8 was originally made up of 8 guys: Maruyama Ryuuhei, Yasuda Shota, Okura Tadayoshi, Murakami Shingo, Nishikido Ryo, Yokoyama Yu, Shibutani Subaru, and Uchi Hiroki. Now they perform as 7 due to Uchi's dismissal for underage drinking a while back, many fans are expecting him to return. Nishikido Ryo and Uchi Hiroki were also members of the suspended group NEWS (info about this supension will be under their page).

• Maruyama, Yasuda, Okura, and Uchi were once part of the group known as V. West which was later disbanded. The 5 were then added to the most popular Kansai Jr. which would make up Kanjani8 (Kansai Johnny 8).

• Because they are such a large group, smaller subgroups have been created:

• OkuraBAND/Kanjimi3/Oyamada (or was it daiyamada?? i have to get back on that...ANYWAY)--This group is made of the 3 instrumentalists, Maruyama (Bass Guitar), Okura (Drums), and Yasuda (Lead Electric & Acoustic Guitar). (a good song they performed was "Ashita" in their Spirits concert-find it on youtube)

• SubaruBAND: which may have been changed to Subaru and OkuraBAND...i have to check that again, but it's the band with Subaru on vocals and supporting guitar. Their song "ONE" can be found on their F.T.O. Album.

• 3Kyoudai (sankyoudai translated as 3 brothers): Made up of Yokoyama Yu, Yasuda Shota, and Shibutani Subaru. Yokoyama plays the eldest brother and writes their songs, he usually has a monologue towards the middle of the song. Yasuda plays the second oldest known as Chipa (which is odd because he's the youngest) and plays the acoustic guitar along with harmony vocals. Shibutani Subaru known simply as baru is the lead vocal. They have performed 2 songs so far, the only one I can remember right now is "Mikan" which is pretty good.
