Hikaru Genji was the first and groundbreaking group to pop out of Johnny's Jimusho...They no longer exist and only 2 members are still under JE's contract (Sato Atsuhiro and Morohoshi Kazumi). SMAP was their backdancers.

• They released 29 singles, 21 albums, and 16 music videos.
• They broke up after a career of 8 years.
• The group was divided in 2:
  • Hikaru: Uchimi Koji and Osawa Mikio
  • Genji: Morohishi Kazumi, Sato Hiroyuki, Yamamoto Junichi, Akasaka Akira, Sato Atsuhiro
• Osawa and Sato Hiroyuki later left in 1994, the remaining 5 became known as Hikaru Genji Super Five
• Hikaru Genji Super Five released 3 singles and 2 full albums
• They disbanded on September 3, 1995
• You will often find these guys performing with roller skates....or their backdancers do so lol...
